Scunthorpe man pleads guilty to double stabbing

A man has pleaded guilty to two counts of wounding with intent following a double stabbing in a North Lincolnshire town.

Michael Barker-Jones, 22, of Grange Lane South, Scunthorpe, also pleaded guilty at Hull Crown Court to aggravated burglary.

He pleaded not guilty to two charges of attempted murder and the Crown Prosecution Service accepted his pleas.

Barker-Jones was remanded in custody and will be sentenced on 24 October.

The charges relate to an attack in April when two men, aged 70 and 38, were stabbed following a burglary at a property in Grange Lane South.
