Man dies in 'lift' incident at Hull's Queen House

Queen's House building Police said the man died while working around lifts at Queens House

A 37-year-old man has died in an "industrial incident" at a building in Hull city centre, police have said.

Humberside Police said the man, who was from Doncaster, was "working in an area around the lifts" at the Queens House premises on Paragon Street.

Emergency services were called to the address at 16:00 BST.

Police are investigating and said they were working with Hull City Council to establish what had happened. The man's identity has not yet been released.

In a statement, the force said: "Officers are working to ensure that next of kin are informed and the Health and Safety Executive have been made aware of the incident."

The area around Paragon Street was closed for some time while emergency services dealt with the incident.
