Two arrests after baby's body found on Hull cycle path

Hull cycle path Humberside Police was called by a member of the public who had found the baby's body on the cycle path

Two people have been arrested after a newborn baby girl was found dead on a cycle path in Hull.

Officers from Humberside Police were called by a member of the public who had found the baby's body, at about 19:15 BST on Saturday.

Officers closed off the path between Rockford Avenue and Lamorna Avenue in the east of Hull.

A man and a woman were arrested in connection with the death and are currently in police custody.

Police said they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the death.
