Goole High School engineers build kit plane

23 January 2014 Last updated at 20:44 GMT

School students have been taking part in a bid to build a full-sized, operational biplane.

Goole High School, in East Yorkshire, is one of the few schools in the country involved in the project, led by former RAF engineers.

The school needs to raise a total of £50,000 to complete the project.

When it is finished, the biplane is to be used to teach young people how to fly.
