Beverley transport plan work begins

Work on a major transport scheme in an East Yorkshire town could mean "short-term pain", a council has warned.

The £22m scheme in Beverley includes the construction of a southern relief road, and junction and roundabout improvements.

Despite delays for motorists during the work, the scheme would provide major improvements, the East Riding of Yorkshire Council said.

It is expected to be completed in early 2015.
