Jason Mace remanded accused of Scunthorpe attack

A 20-year-old man has been charged with assault and burglary after an elderly woman suffered head injuries outside her home in Scunthorpe.

Jason Mace, of West Common Crescent, Scunthorpe, was remanded in custody by North Lincolnshire Magistrates' Court on Friday.

The woman was found in a "very fragile state" at West Common Gardens at about 14:45 BST on Tuesday.

Mr Mace is expected to appear at Grimsby Crown Court on 2 August.
