Tory group leader Keith Brookes charged with indecency
An ex-leader of North East Lincolnshire Council has been charged with an act of outraging public decency.
Councillor Keith Brookes, leader of the Conservative group on the local authority, was arrested on Saturday.
He appeared before Grimsby Magistrates' Court on Monday and was released on bail until 5 August, when he is due back in court.
In a statement, the Conservative Party said Mr Brookes was "suspended from the party with immediate effect".
