Scunthorpe street fight men bailed

Nineteen men arrested on suspicion of violent disorder after a fight in Scunthorpe have been released on bail.

The men, all aged between 20 and 30, were arrested in the Frodingham Road and Percival Street area at about 15:45 BST on Sunday.

A Humberside Police spokesman said the men were all from the same community and knew each other.

Two men were treated in hospital - one for a fractured eye socket and another for a fractured hand and arm.

Supt Dave Hall, from Humberside Police, said: "This investigation is still very much in the early stages and we are continuing to gather evidence from a number of sources including witnesses and CCTV.

"The community of those involved is a small, hard-to-reach group who we believe to be relatively new settlers to the area.

"They are EU passport holders and engaged in employment locally."
