Hull man builds penny farthing bicycle

A man from Hull has built his own penny farthing bicycle after being inspired by displays at the city's Streetlife Museum.

Christian Richards made some of the parts from an old washing machine, and created others completely from scratch.

Mr Richards said: "As a child I used to like going to the transport museum in town, and they have loads of old penny farthings in the bike section, and I'm always thinking, what can I make money out of and have fun at the same time?"
