Man arrested in Peter Battle murder inquiry
Mr Battle could have been murdered some weeks before his body was found at home, said police
A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a man in East Yorkshire.
The body of Peter Battle, 56, was found by police officers at his home at Whisker Cottage, Full Sutton, near Pocklington, on 7 February.
A post-mortem examination found he died of head injuries, said police.
Mr Battle, an antiques dealer, may have been murdered some weeks before his body was discovered, Humberside Police believe.
Det Ch Insp Alistair McFarlane said Mr Battle was a well-known antiques dealer in Yorkshire.
He had a special interest in collecting gold and silver coins and silver cutlery, and that was a "significant line of inquiry" when trying to determine the motive behind Mr Battle's killing, he said.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information about Mr Battle to come forward.
They are interested in whether any activity had taken place at the cottage between the end of December and 7 February.
