Beverley transport plan unveiled to public

A £27m plan that will shape the future for motorists in Beverley has been put on show to the public.

The East Riding of Yorkshire Council plan includes changes to the Grovehill junction, Swinemoor roundabout and the Flemingate level crossing.

Subject to government funding, work is due to start this summer and be finished in early 2015.

An exhibition of the scheme is being held at Treasure House in Beverley until 19:30 GMT.

Council leader Stephen Parnaby said the transport plan would reduce congestion and boost jobs.
