Flood warning for East Yorkshire rivers

River levels are being monitored by the Environment Agency across East Yorkshire after days of heavy rainfall.

Flood warnings remain in place for four areas including the River Derwent, Holderness Drain and the River Hull.

The agency said properties on both banks of the Derwent at Thorganby, Bubwith, Menthorpe, Breighton, Wressle, Loftsome Bridge and Brackenholme

It said flooding was also expected at Holderness Drain and parts of the River Hull and its upper Hull tributaries.

A spokesman said river levels were likely to remain high for a week and it would monitor the situation.
