East Yorkshire man celebrates £2m lottery win
Oliver Milner, 27, celebrated his lottery win with his mother Dianne at a Hull hotel
The mother of a lottery winner said she was looking forward to her son finally leaving home after he scooped £2m on the EuroMillions draw.
Oliver Milner, 27, said he is using part of the jackpot to buy his first home and move out of his mother's house in Hessle near Hull.
His mother Dianne Walker, said: "I'm delighted, and at last he's moving out."
Mr Milner said he was in shock when he discovered he had won.
Speaking at a press conference, he said he had already quit his jobs as a customer service adviser for an energy firm.
Sitting next to him at the cheque presentation at a Hull hotel, his mother said: "It's every parent's dream to know that their children are financially secure for the rest of their lives."
Mr Milner said he only bought his ticket at the last minute at a garage on 10 August.
He said: "I asked my mum to check and she thought I was joking. I'm still in shock now."
He is planning to take his family to Disney World in Florida and his friends on a trip to New York to celebrate his 28th birthday next month.
