Woman dies and girl hurt in Hull after being hit by car

A 41-year-old woman has died and a 15-year-old girl has suffered a broken leg after being hit by a car in Hull.

The incident happened at about 00:50 BST on Sunday as the woman and girl walked together along Saltshouse Road, away from Holderness Road, police said.

The dead woman has been named by Humberside Police as Kerry Ockelton of Harlstone Close, Hull.

Two men, both in their 20s, who were arrested in connection with the incident have been released on bail.

Police are asking for anyone with information about the incident to get in touch.
