Prison absconder detained by police in Nottingham

A man who failed to return from day release at a Lincolnshire open prison has been detained and charged with two robberies.

Eithan Teanby absconded from HMP North Sea Camp in Boston on 21 May but Humberside Police said he was arrested in Nottingham on Sunday morning.

He was charged with the robbery of a post office and a bank as well as an attempted robbery at another bank.

He was also charged with possession of a bladed article.

Mr Teanby, 40, is accused of robbing East Common Lane post office in Scunthorpe on 21 May and attempting to rob Santander bank in Clumber Street, Nottingham on 29 May.

He is also accused of robbery at Halifax bank, Commercial Road, Bulwell, on 30 May.
