A Humberside Police officer has been commended by a judge for his bravery after tackling a teenage woman who was firing an air pistol.
PC Carl Bugg restrained 19-year-old Kerri May Wood in October last year in Queen's Gardens in the centre of Hull.
The officer was uninjured although Wood managed to fire two shots as he tackled her. She has been detained in a secure hospital for treatment.
