David Hockney's landscape exhibition draws huge crowds

David Hockney's large-scale landscape exhibition featuring paintings of the East Yorkshire countryside has been described as a huge success.

Half-a-million people have visited A Bigger Picture, at The Royal Academy of Arts in London, making it one of their most popular exhibitions to date.

Visitors from all over the world formed huge queues outside the gallery to see the show on its closing day.
