Father and son killed in East Yorkshire crash


A 46-year-old man and his son, 14, from Birmingham, were among those killed in a head-on car crash in East Yorkshire, police have confirmed.

The crash happened on a bridge over the River Aire on the A614 at East Cowick, Goole, at about 13:30 BST on Saturday.

The man's wife, 43, and nine-year-old daughter remain in a critical condition after being airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary suffering from "life threatening" injuries.

A woman, 70, from York, was also killed.
