Rescue operation to free stranded whale


A rescue operation is under way to free a 30ft (9m) whale stranded off the Lincolnshire coast.

The animal, which is believed to be a minke whale, is stuck two thirds in a mud flat at Immingham docks.

Over 50 rescue officials from British Divers Marine Life, RNLI, Humber Rescue, Humber Coastguard and RNLI are on the scene to free the animal.
