East Yorkshire seal charity tackles disease outbreak


An animal charity is carrying out regular checks on a colony of seals in East Yorkshire after an outbreak of sealpox.

East Coast Seal Rescue has given three grey seals treatment for the disease in the last few weeks. The virus is not life threatening but it can cause sores and lesions on the flippers and stomach.
