Worcester pedestrian death: Dangerous driving charge

A 34-year-old man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a fatal collision in Worcester involving a pedestrian.

Christopher Willmott, 48, died after a car hit a lamppost in Cotswold Way just after 01:00 BST on 1 August.

West Mercia Police said Helda DeSilva Pina, of Brook Street, Worcester, appeared before the city's magistrates' court.

He was bailed to appear at Worcester Crown Court on 24 November.
