Pedestrian hit by car in Worcester dies

A 48-year-old man died when he was hit by a car which then hit a lamppost and damaged vehicles at a car dealership.

The man was on Cotswold Way in Worcester when the crash occurred just after 01:00 BST, West Mercia Police said.

The car went into Blackpole Road, hitting the lamppost which then fell on cars at Bromley Ford Dealership.

The pedestrian died at the scene. A 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicious of dangerous driving.
