A blaze has ripped through two farm barns in Worcestershire.

Three fire engines and a water carrier were called to Valley Farm in Elmley Lovett just before 04:00 BST.

One 50m (165ft) by 35m (115ft) barn, containing 50 tonnes of hay and a Toyota Land Cruiser, was gutted.

A second 35m by 30m (100ft) barn, containing 100 tonnes of logs and farming tools, was also badly damaged. One barn was next to a lamb enclosure but no livestock was affected.

Phil Maiden, who lives on the farm, said it was too early to say how much damage had been caused.

He said the cause was being investigated.
