Claines villagers call for Grand National signs

15 April 2014 Last updated at 20:07 BST

People living in a Worcestershire village are campaigning for a sign proclaiming its Grand National success.

This year's winning horse Pineau de Re is one of just 12 trained by Dr Richard Newland in Claines.

Despite local celebrations after her success at Aintree earlier this month, villagers say a lack of any welcome sign in Claines means many visitors do not know where they are.

The county council said it was looking to put up signs at either entrance to the village.
