Three-lorry crash closes M42 in Worcestershire for 10 hours

The M42 southbound in Worcestershire was closed for 10 hours between junctions two and three following a serious crash between three lorries.

It has now reopened after "a large amount" of debris was cleared from the carriageway.

James Hawkes from the Highways Agency said one of the HGVs was carrying a consignment of kitchens.

Hereford and Worcester Fire Service said it had rescued one driver who was trapped in his overturned lorry.

The crash happened at 01:30 BST.
