Lowesmoor Asda car park attack: CCTV image released

CCTV image Police said the man could play a "central role" in their investigation

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to talk to about the attempted abduction of a woman.

The attack took place at 07:15 GMT on Sunday in the car park at Asda in Lowesmoor, Worcester, police said.

A man grabbed the woman from behind, put his hand over her mouth and pushed her up against a wall. She escaped after a brief struggle.

West Mercia Police said they were concerned the attacker could be "a serious risk to the public".

The attacker ran off into the St Martin's Quarter area of the city, a spokesperson said.

Det Insp Andy Price CID said: "We are releasing footage of a man caught on CCTV at the time of the incident.

"We need to speak to him at the earliest opportunity because we believe he could play a central role in our investigation."
