Kidderminster pond death 'a mystery'
The death of a man in a pond in Kidderminster has been described by police as "a bit of a mystery".
Paul Humphries, 41, was found outside a property on the corner of Chaucer Crescent and Prior Close on Thursday.
A post-mortem examination is due to take place on Saturday. Police are treating his death as unexplained.
Officers said they were keen to speak to anyone who saw or spoke to Mr Humphries between 01:30 and 09:00 GMT on Thursday.
He was last seen at his home in Tennyson Way, just a few minutes' walk away from where he was found, shortly before 01:30, West Mercia Police said.
Mr Humphries, who was single and lived alone, was taken ill on Christmas Day after a friend had checked in on him.
Det Insp Leighton Harding said: "He would have been known to people in that area and in order to piece together his last movements we want to hear from anyone who saw or had any contact with him in the seven-and-a-half hours between when he was last seen alive and found dead in Chaucer Crescent."
"We also want to hear from anyone who may have seen Mr Humphries walking around in the Tennyson Way and Chaucer Crescent area during those missing hours."
Mr Humphries was described as a white male with short dark hair and a beard, and was dressed in dark clothing.
