Flooding has disrupted rail routes between Hereford and Abergavenny, with some services cancelled.
The Heart of Wales rail line between Shrewsbury and Llanelli was closed because of a fallen tree on the track.
A fallen tree also partially blocked the A449 in Dunhampton, Worcestershire, BBC Travel said.
The Cross City route through Birmingham between Redditch and Lichfield was reduced, London Midland said.
'Avoid flood water'
The Met Office issued a yellow warning for both wind and rain in the West Midlands.
Flooding and surface water was reported on the A44 between Bromyard and the B4361 junction in Leominster.
There was also surface water reported on the B4224 in Old Gore, Herefordshire, near the A449 junction.
The Environment Agency advised people to be cautious when travelling and not to enter any flood water.
