Man hit by lorry on M42 in Worcestershire dies

A pedestrian died when he was hit by a lorry on the M42 motorway in Worcestershire.

The collision happened between junction 2, for Alvechurch, and junction 3, for Wythall, on the eastbound carriageway at about 22:15 GMT on Monday.

The eastbound stretch was closed for about three hours.

West Mercia Police said it was investigating the circumstances along with officers from the Central Motorway Police Group.
