Hereford pub stabbing: more time to question suspects

Police have been granted more time to question two people arrested after a stabbing at a Hereford pub.

The stabbing happened inside the Brewer's Arms in Eign Road in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Hereford magistrates have now granted detectives an extra 36 hours to question a 56-year-old man and 42-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

The victim - a man in his 30s - has been discharged from hospital.

West Mercia Police said they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the attack.

A spokesman said: "It appears to have been an isolated matter involving people who are known to one another."
