Worcestershire police cars rammed and written off

Two police cars have been written off after a stolen pick-up truck rammed into them during a pursuit, West Mercia Police has said.

Two officers suffered minor injuries in the crash, which happened at about 22:00 BST on Monday in Doverdale Lane, Ombersley, Worcestershire.

The truck was travelling in convoy with a Suzuki car, which failed to stop when officers tried to flag it down.

The car, which was also stolen, made off and was later found abandoned.

It was discovered in Mustow Green, Kidderminster.

The pick-up truck came to a stop when it collided with the police cars.

A 47-year-old man from Wednesbury, West Midlands, was arrested on suspicion of theft, dangerous driving and failing to stop for police.
