Search to identify Fernhill Heath crash pensioner

Police are trying to identify an elderly man who is in a coma after being hit by a car in Worcester.

Officers said the man, aged between 75 to 80, had no identification on him when he was hit in Hurst Lane, Fernhill Heath, at about 13:45 BST on Saturday.

He is described to be about 5ft 10in tall and was wearing a formal shirt and trousers. He had glasses on him and a gold-coloured watch.

West Mercia Police said they wanted to get in touch with his family.

They urged people to check on any elderly men who live on their own in the area.
