Worcestershire hospitals impose norovirus restrictions

A number of wards at two Worcestershire hospitals have been closed to visitors because of an outbreak of norovirus.

Wards 3 and 12 at the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch have been affected by the winter vomiting bug.

At the Worcestershire Royal Hospital, Worcester, both the Acute Stroke Unit and Chestnut Ward have restrictions in place.

An NHS spokesperson advised people to contact wards directly if they needed to arrange "exceptional visiting".
