Fresh plans for a new £11m primary school for a Herefordshire town have been unveiled.

The original plans for Leominster Primary School were deferred by Herefordshire Council last year over concerns about how energy efficient the building would be.

The new plans incorporate solar panels and other systems designed to reduce energy consumption.

If the plans are approved building will start in July, the council said.

The revised plans will go on show at an open day on 20 March at Leominster Junior School.

Leominster Infant and Junior Schools will merge in September 2014 into a single, three-form entry primary school using the new building.
