Man charged with abusing Kidderminster Harriers player

A man has been charged with racially abusing a Kidderminster Harriers footballer during a home match.

The unnamed player reported being abused during the first half of the game against Alfreton Town at Aggborough on 23 February.

Police said a man, 34, from South Normanton, Derbyshire, had been charged with racially-aggravated harassment.

He was released on bail to appear at Chesterfield Magistrates' Court on 27 March.
