Three teenagers charged over death of Nigel Shakespear

Three teenagers have been charged with manslaughter following the death of a man in Redditch.

Nigel Shakespear, 50, died after being attacked while walking home from the Kings Arms pub early on Sunday.

He was taken to the Alexandra Hospital and later transferred to Walsgrave Hospital, Coventry, before his life support machine was turned off.

West Mercia Police said a 16-year-old and two 17-year-olds from the Redditch area were due before magistrates.

Another 17-year-old and an 18-year-old man were arrested on Sunday but released without charge, police said.
