Worcester's Hylton Road closed after gas leak
One of the main routes into Worcester has closed to traffic after a gas leak.
The A443 Hylton Road has been shut in both directions near the former Crown and Anchor pub to allow engineers to repair leaks in an underground pipe.
The leaks were first detected in November and National Grid said other attempts to tackle the problem under temporary traffic lights had failed to solve the problem.
Engineers said the closure could last until Tuesday.
Worcestershire County Council said major delays were expected and diversions were in place along Henwick Road, Bull Ring and Tybridge Street.
