Worcestershire affected by snow and rain
Snow and heavy rain closed roads and schools in Worcestershire on Monday.
The Environment Agency (EA) issued flood warnings for the River Avon at Wyre Piddle, Strensham and Bredon, and Birlingham.
New Street in Upton-upon-Severn and Jubilee Bridge in Fladbury were closed due to flooding.
Dave Throup from the EA said the flood gates were closed at New Street in Upton-upon-Severn because the River Severn levels had risen.
He said levels were expected to peak later.
Contractors were also on site in Kempsey prepared to operate flood defence pumps manually in case they fail as they did in November.
Lickey Hills Primary School, St Luke's CE First School and the King Fisher school in north Worcestershire closed on Monday because of the overnight snow.
