Severn Trent gives bottled water to Broadway homes

Bottled water has been delivered to about 2,000 homes in a Worcestershire village after reports of discolouration in the tap water.

Severn Trent said engineers were working to resolve the issue in Broadway after it was discovered on Friday.

Tests showed a change of taste and colour in the water.

A spokesperson said: "All affected customers received 50 litres of bottled water delivered to their homes."

Customers were advised to still boil tap water before using it and to take care when bathing young children to avoid them swallowing the water.

It is thought the problem could take three days to clear up.

The company has apologised for any inconvenience.
