Kidderminster Academy officially opened

A new £10m academy specialising in developing new skills and entrepreneurs has been officially opened.

The new academy, at Weavers Wharf, Kidderminster, has been paid for by Birmingham Metropolitan College and will train up to 1,000 16 to 18-year-olds.

It also includes the Smart Experience Academy, sponsored by electronics firm Samsung.

It was officially opened by Minister for Skills, Matthew Hancock.
