Pedestrian killed in crash near Bewdley

A man died when he was hit by a car in Worcestershire in the early hours.

Two ambulances and an incident support officer were called to the incident on the B4194 between Bewdley and Stourport shortly after 01:30 BST.

"Sadly, it quickly became apparent to crews that nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene," a spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

The car driver was not injured in the crash.
