Man charged with copper theft at Bromsgrove GP surgery

A man has been charged with the theft of £20,000 worth of copper from the roof of a doctors' surgery.

The copper sheeting was taken from the surgery at New Road in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, between 28 February and 3 March.

A man was later arrested and has now been charged with theft. He is due to appear before magistrates in Redditch on 5 April, police said.

A 30ft by 30ft (9.1m by 9.1m) section of the roof was taken.
