A man has been given a life sentence for murdering a 66-year-old man in a Worcester park.

The body of Gordon Whitehouse, from Whitbourne, Worcester, was found in the city's Gheluvelt Park in the early hours of 15 July, 2009.

Alan Lee, 31, Of Oakfield Road, Ombersley, admitted Mr Whitehouse's murder at Worcester crown Court.

He will serve a minimum sentence of 18 years. Another charge of robbery is to remain on file.
