A major land and sea search for an Isle of Wight woman missing since the weekend is taking place.

Victoria Bailey, 53, from Ryde, was last seen getting off a bus in Freshwater on Saturday afternoon before walking towards Tennyson Trail.

Police said her mobile phone's signal had been traced to the area, but they had not found it.

Hampshire Constabulary's marine unit, the coastguard, and WightSAR have sent search teams there.

A spokesman said: "A silver or black Samsung GT E2550, is believed to be in the Tennyson Trail area of Freshwater.

"Police are keen that if any member of the public finds it, that it is reported to officers and the exact location noted."

Ms Bailey was pictured on the bus via CCTV at 14:18 BST wearing sunglasses, a brown jacket, dark top, scarf, and blue jeans.

She was also seen at Morrisons in Newport 50 minutes earlier.
