Spate of New Forest post box thefts

14 May 2014 Last updated at 01:59 BST

Post boxes are being stolen from rural locations in Hampshire, Royal Mail say.

The small pillar and wall-mounted boxes have been taken from a number of sites in and around the New Forest, including Sway, Bransgore and Brockenhurst.

Another box, in Hightown, Ringwood, was replaced after six weeks, only to be stolen again days later.

Royal Mail has put up notices informing customers the post boxes had been stolen and warned any mail inside should be considered lost.
