The case against a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) accused of shoplifting has been dismissed.

Lee Wright, 24, of St Marks Road, Portsmouth, denied two counts of theft from Game and Sports Direct in Commercial Road, Portsmouth in August.

Both counts were dismissed during a trial at Southampton Magistrates' Court.

Mr Wright remains suspended by Hampshire Constabulary pending a disciplinary investigation.

He was part of a PCSO team that patrolled Portsmouth city centre.
