Air freshener 'causes Southsea flat explosion'

An explosion thought to have been caused by an air freshener has severely damaged a flat in Hampshire.

The blast caused severe damage to the walls and windows of the property on Henderson Road in Southsea, Portsmouth, but no-one was hurt.

A fire officer who was at the scene has blamed an air freshener which was close to a lamp for causing the explosion.

Hampshire Constabulary and Trading Standards officers are also investigating.
