22 April 2014 Last updated at 15:39 BST

A resident in Hampshire has spotted an escaped 6ft-tall bird capable of running at 40mph.

A rhea, called Rita, disappeared from a smallholding close to the Essex/Hertfordshire border last month.

Steph Erskine from near Alton was out walking with a friend on Monday when she spotted a rhea feeding on the ground - but was it Rita?

Steve Humphrey reports.
