Portsmouth house fire: Five rescued from blaze

Five people have been rescued from a house fire in Portsmouth.

Hampshire firefighters were called to the three-storey building in Ophir Road, North End at 04:25 GMT.

The five - all adults - were suffering from smoke inhalation and two were taken to Queen Alexandra hospital.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said the cause of the fire was being investigated.
