Man dies in M3 Eastleigh lorry crash

A 60-year-old man died and another suffered serious injuries when a lorry crashed into the central reservation on the M3 in Hampshire.

The seven-and-a-half tonne Mercedes truck was travelling south when it left the road near junction 13, for Eastleigh, on Saturday afternoon.

Driver Antony Welling, of Abbots Langley, Hertfordshire, died in hospital. His passenger, 45, was treated for serious injuries.

The motorway was closed for four hours.
